DAILY MAUL: GMD's Christian Avard Asks the Right Questions of Barack Obama
Submitted by Rob Williams on Thu, 07/10/2008 - 8:47am.
Good to see Christian Avard at Green Mountain Daily raising questions about Barack Obama's recent flipflop on the FISA situation.
Just the tip of the iceberg, I'd suggest.
I am currently reading Obama's Dreams From My Father - a compelling story about race, class, and the American Dream - very moving.
But Obama's Audacity of Hope is either a shocking example of political naivete (how does the U.S. government really work?) or a calculated political text designed to put a happy face on Obama's political ambitions.
I don't know the answer to that question, but I would suggest that a Barack Obama administration might be more like the current regime than most might realize.
Time will tell.

Yes, Rob, time will tell... time after time after time will tell most people absolutely nothing.
Yep, those Democrats in Congress sure sure fixed everything they got voted in for!
It's hard to read the folks over there at GMD trying so hard to believe in the United States' political process. They're clearly unhappy with their "options," but can't see the truth: It's done. It's gone. It's over. There's no representation for anyone other than foreign governments, billionaires and corporations.
The sooner we simply take charge of our small, beautiful, local lives the better.
